What You'll Learn:
You will learn workplace safety, tools and equipment; general automotive maintenance; brakes and anti-lock brake systems; steering linkage; suspension; wheel alignment; electrical and electronics repair including scanner use with OBD I and OBD II. All hands on work will be performed and inspected to current automotive industry standards.

10 months - Level 1 (includes 240 hours of work experience)
20 months - Pre-apprenticeship Option - available to Secondary School age students only

Healthy individuals with good stamina, creative flair, attention to detail, aptitude in basic math skills, good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. A desire to pursue a career in automotive repair.

Job opportunities exist in a variety of capacities, from forklift mechanic, farm equipment mechanic, heavy duty mechanic, outdoor power equipment technician, recreational vehicles service technician, automotive service technician, commercial transport vehicle mechanic, diesel engine mechanic.
